Copier Sales Rep Advice

In the market for a new copy machine? You probably know that there are a million ways to go about choosing a copier. Copier sales come in many different shapes and sizes, from new, to refurbished or discount, sold by the manufacturer or by a dealer, right down to leasing agents. The way you go about buying your copier is up to you, but there are some things you should be aware of before you shop.

If you are looking for a good deal, you might want to look into copier sales advertised on the Internet. You can occasionally get a good discount, or at least a nice maintenance or other package with your purchase. Another way to get copiers at a reduced cost is to purchase discount versions. These are usually good quality printers that are used, but refurbished to a like-new standard.

There are three keys to making the right choice on a copy machine. First of all, know your needs. Make sure you know about how many copies you make in a month or week. Also, make a list of all the features and functions you use regularly, paper sizes and capacity, printing speed and extras, such as stapling and double sided printing. Knowing this important information will save you from coming away kicking yourself for buying something that doesn’t quite fit the bill because of one minor detail that you overlooked.

Do your research. Read about products of interest online. Find out all you can. Read the reviews of people who currently use the copier you’re interested in. Be aware while reading reviews, though, that someone who is dissatisfied or thrilled with a product may not have the same needs you do!

Once you have an idea of what you are looking at it’s time to talk to copier sales representatives. They are best able to give you comparisons between different brands and models. Tell them what you are looking for and they can help you decide what will work best in your office.

Keep in mind when talking with copier sales reps that they can be very helpful, but the ultimate decision is up to you. Take their advice into close consideration, but don’t forget about the research you’ve done on your own. Be sure to use that in combination with what the sales rep tells you.

Whether you pretty much know what you want to buy or have no idea what your options even are, copier sales representatives can be very helpful to you in finding the copier that will work best and serve the needs of you office. Still, be sure to do your own research before you follow their advice.
