Do You Need A Personal Copier?

Anyone who has had to head to the local print shop in order to make copies for work or other needs more than once has probably thought how nice it would be to have a copier right at home to make all your copies on. You would save on time, page by page expense and it would be easier to get things ready on time without that extra errand to run.

Of course not everyone actually needs a personal copier in their home. For most of us it would hardly be used often enough to be worth the expense and even the space it takes up. However, there are those situations when having a desktop copier is a very economical decision.

If you work out of your home or have ongoing projects that require you to print copies of documents, letters or other papers in medium to large quantities on a regular basis, having a small, but good quality copier in your office is a good idea. Of course this will depend on the quantity of copies you make. If you make over 700 copies per month, you may want to look at a larger machine, or simply keep making your copies at a copy shop.

Your options for a personal copier are many and the price ranges and options as well as the level of quality can differ greatly from product to product. Make sure you do your research and find out everything you can about a product and compare it to similar products, before making your final choice.

If you are looking for a low cost copier, but still want the quality offered by a known brand you might want to look at discount copy machines. Before you start, make sure the company is a reputable one, to be sure you won’t end up with a machine that has not been properly serviced or had the meter tampered with. With a good dealer you can get a top name brand refurbished small copier for much less than a new model, and still get years of excellent usage out of it.

When researching copy machines to find the right one for you read up on the company’s websites as well as independent reviews. Keep in mind that your needs may not be the same as those singing the praises or grumbling in disappointment about a product. You may love a copier that simply wasn’t big or fast enough for someone else. Keep in mind your personal needs.

A personal desktop copier can save you a lot of time and effort running around having copies made. If you know you will use it enough, you can’t go wrong to fit one into your budget. To save even more space, consider looking at multifunction copiers that act as fax machines, scanners and printers as well as copy machines. This is a great way to save space and money too, if you need all of those devices.
